Do I Believe in Miracles?

I believe in miracles for sure. I think we experience miracles everyday of our lives and sometimes we don't even realize it. Miracles can be small or they can save lives and can alter your whole perception on life. Probably the biggest miracle I have ever seen that did not directly effect me but gave me a strong standpoint that miracles do exist happened during my sophmore year of highschool, one of my good friends was hit by a car going 65mph. My other friend witnessed the whole accident and the detail he went into about him being hit would make anyones stomach turn so I'll save all the details. Anyways, he was in a comma for a couple of days but woke up and seemed to be very responsive. He hit his head pretty bad but did not suffer any injuries to the brain that were life threatening. He also suffered a broken leg which is minimal knowing the extent of the accident. The only life altering effects is simple memory loss, which we all suffer anyways. Also, he has a slight loss of taste but he has grown to not be effected by this. Other than that he is fully recovered and you would never think he has gone through such a tragedy. Even today he mentions his accident and people do not believe him and think he is joking because he seems and is perfectly normal. After seeing him strive above such a obstacle and still be apart of the lives of his family and friends shows that miracles do exist.

First Blog: Utopia vs. Apocalypse

Looking into this subject I have some strong feelings about this issue that some might agree or disagree. I feel that although we might think we are heading toward apocalypse it is more of a happy medium between the two. I feel since we have awareness of the destruction awaiting our world and the things we must change to prevent this disaster of global warming. We have the technology and intelligence to help change this. It might take some time to see results from the changes we make but we as human beings all have a responsibility and I feel we will all make enough sacrifices to help this world. With the on-going efforts we will establish a happy medium and our world will be more healthy then ever. I've noticed even myself as a person and a consumer I have made some changes that will make a large difference in this world. I have started to recycle everything and I am now programmed to separate cans, cardboard, plastic, glass from garbage. I feel it's a beautiful thing because it does not make it any more difficult but more organized and helps this world stay green. Now that I have been a resident of Boston and very urban area where public transportation is always available, I have not driven my car more then a couple weeks of the year. I feel these are big changes I have made in my life and if everyone makes similar changes we will all have a beautiful world to live in for us and our grand children to come. I also feel we have plenty of scientists working on this issue where an even larger solution will come along where the environment will remain and not be destroyed.
